- Mission Statement: A statement that tells everyone who we are? who we serve? what benefits clients derive from our products or services? and how we differ from others in the same field?
- Vision Statement: A statement that provides a clear and compelling sense of future direction that leads to action.
- SWOT: An analysis of where the organization is now including its Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats.
- Statement of Core Values: A statement that describes what the organizaiton believes in with regards to customers/clients, product or service quality, employees, resources entrusted to its care, the larger community and other important matters.
- Areas of Strategic Focus: A list of a half dozen or so key issues that must be addressed in order to move closer to the vision.
- Action Plan: A detailed plan of action for each area of strategic focus.
- Financial Plan: An income statement and balance sheet projected over the life of the plan.
